NOTICE: - SEMINAR OF 8^TH SEM STUDENTS

SUB:- THERMAL ENGINEERING

It is hereby to inform all students of 8^th Sem, that as part of curricular work, all students have to give seminar on a topic in Thermal Engineering. Students have to register in group of 3. Students are free to choose seminar topics on their own. Students are supposed to submit report also. Suggested topics are:-

·        Super saturated flow of steam through nozzle

·         Effect of back pressure on performance of nozzle

·         Steam Turbine Governing

·         Regenerative feed water heating cycle of steam power plant

·         Compounding of steam turbine

·         Special types of turbines

·         Glands and sealing system of steam turbine

·         Reheating cycle of steam power plant

·         Binary vapour cycle

·         Brayton cycle

·         Intercooling

·         Basics of turbo machines

·         Turbojet engine

·         Ramjet engine

·         Turbo prop

·         Rocket engine

·         Pulse jet engine

·         Labyrinth packing

·         Gas turbine combustion chamber

·         Cogeneration

·         Losses in steam turbine

·         Steam turbine blade (construction, material, types...)

·         Methods of attachment of blades to turbine rotor

Students are required to register prior to seminar presentation with topic. Allowable duration for seminar is 15mins. Before 3/03/2016
